PROPERTY TAX DEADLINE
Polk County Trustee Gina Burchfiel would like to remind all Polk County residents that the 2019 property taxes are due and payable without interest by February 29, 2020. After that date, interest will accrue at 1.5% per month beginning March 1st, 2020 and on the 1st day of each month thereafter. Trustee's office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Polk County Courthouse and Thursdays 9:00 am - 3:00 p.m. at the Community Center in Ducktown. Further, as a courtesy and to better serve the residents of Polk County, the Trustee's office at the Courthouse in Benton will be open on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. to allow residents to pay their taxes on that day.
